Eltham Park Home Office

A spacious, park-facing reception room was transformed into a functional yet elegant home office for this Eltham Park client who works remotely. Often on video calls with international colleagues, she wanted a beautiful backdrop for her meetings, while enjoying a clear view of the park across the street—offering ideal natural lighting for video calls.

The client also wanted the room to serve multiple purposes, incorporating a seating area and potentially a TV, allowing her to keep an eye on her son after school while she worked. She had a preference for feminine colours and a love of blue hydrangeas and chinoiserie China, with her small artwork and collection of ginger jars serving as the inspiration for the design.

The interior design featured a bespoke triple-arched display case with built-in storage below and an antique mirror backing to enhance the natural light. Grasscloth wallpaper and linen window treatments framed the space, accented with natural wood and black touches to complement the existing desk the client brought into the room.
